Editorial policy
Trusted Travel Journal aims to make travel choices clearer without pretending that every journey has one best answer. We distinguish general guidance from details that depend on a destination, date, provider or individual circumstances.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable sources before publication and take care with dates, place names and the limits of general advice. We explain uncertainty where it matters, avoid presenting assumptions as facts and revisit material when a significant detail is found to be wrong or out of date.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not partners. Any paid, gifted or otherwise supported material will be clearly labelled so readers can tell the difference between editorial coverage and a commercial relationship. Partner placements elsewhere on the site are also identified as partner content.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact the Trusted Travel Journal desk through the Contact page and include the article title and the detail in question. We review correction requests, amend confirmed errors and make material changes clear to readers where appropriate.
Images and illustrations
Images are chosen to support the subject and should not mislead readers about a place or experience. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, they will be identified as such.
A plan should make room for the place
Travel is easier to enjoy when the essentials are considered and the schedule can bend. We favour clear choices over exhaustive checklists.
